1.Timing and transit and finish will be recorded electronically. All swimmers wear a tag at their preferred wrist.
2.All transition and finishes will be recorded on camera
3.Athletes who would like to qualify for CARIFTA/CCCAN 2025 should:
a. Finish in place 1 and 2 in 5K distance in agegroup 14-15 and 16-18 year (Female and Male).
b. be member of AAF affiliated Swimming club
c. Swam 800m or 1500m at “Arubaanse Kampioenschappen”
4. Swimmers who swam at Panamerican Championships or World Championships (2023/2024) will qualify automatically for CCCAN
5.AAF TC OW will nominate swimmers for CARIFTA/CCCAN 2024 to the board of AAF. The AAF board will make final decision.
6.Qualification nor nomination does NOT mean AAF will bear cost of participating in CCCAN/CARIFTA 2025
7.OTL rule will be in effect for 5K Distance. (15Min after 1st swimmer of agegroup/gender finished)

No registrations or changes will be accepted at the day of the race. No exceptions!

8:00: Start 1KM Boys and Girls Check-in will begin at 7:00
9:00: Start 3 km Boys and Girls, Check-in will begin at 8:00
9:05: Start 5 km Boys and Girls, Check-in will begin at 8:00
Swimmers must bring own drink bottles. Water and Iced tea are available in containers!
AWARDS:
Swimmers finishing in the top three places of each age group in their designated gender (mixed) will receive a medal. AWARDS ceremony will be around 11:00AM
Swimmers could mark their assigned race numbers (Available from Saturday 25 January at https://timing.events) if possible.
BL 9.3.7.2 Numbering of swimmers
The numbering of Competitors is to appear on the arms, upper backs and hands of competitors. On the arms the numbers shall be arranged vertically. On the upper backs and hands the numbering is horizontally. Where the numbering of the arms and backs is made with an ink template: 100 mm high x 60 mm wide. The numbering of the hands of competitors is allowed by marking pens. For Competitors with darker skin and full body wet suits a white marker pen will be required.
